How Dignity Sustains a Democracy

How Dignity Sustains a Democracy

Thought:

A democracy survives only when its people are treated with dignity, because dignity is the foundation that protects personal worth, restores trust, and keeps citizens standing tall.

Reflection:

Dignity must rise again because a democracy cannot survive when its people feel humiliated by the very system meant to protect them. When citizens are spoken to with contempt, ignored in policy, or treated as pawns in political games, something deeper than trust erodes — the sense of personal worth that makes civic participation possible.
