How Responsibility Helps a Nation Rise

Thought: 

A country rises when its people stop waiting for someone else to fix what is broken and start carrying their share of the work. 

Reflection:  

Responsibility must rise again because America cannot heal if everyone waits for someone else to fix what is broken. It must rise because leadership without responsibility becomes performance. It must rise because citizenship without responsibility becomes entitlement. And it must rise because a country that forgets responsibility forgets the very foundation of its freedom. 

And when responsibility rises, integrity rises with it — and together they steady the nation.
