Throwing Snowballs (Long Version)

Throwing Snowballs (Long Version)

Hello America,

Human beings like to throw snowballs, small actions, small gestures, small choices. Yet an avalanche can begin with only a few snowballs tossed by people willing to act.

The question for our civic life is simple:

Who will step forward and make those first moves?

Who will take the small, decent actions that gather momentum and awaken the larger change our society needs?

Who will step forward and throw the first snowball against Prejudice and Hate?

As I look at the situation in America and the world, I am reminded of what Jesus said, not as a threat, but as a warning: when people cease to watch, cease to reflect, and cease to listen to conscience, truth may arrive unexpectedly, and they may fail to recognize its presence.

In Revelation 3:3, Jesus speaks to the church in Sardis, calling them to wake up spiritually, repent, and remain watchful:

“If therefore thou shalt not watch, I will come on thee as a thief, and thou shalt not know what hour I will come upon thee.”

Today:

The world is crying for Decency.

The world is crying for Dignity.

The world is crying for Honesty.

The world is crying for Integrity.

The world is crying for Responsibility.

And above all, the world is crying for love, Divine Love.

The Divine Love of the Most Holy forever flows into Decency. Yet that love may not flow freely unless the human heart opens itself to Decency.

When a person chooses Decency over Ego, the heart becomes willing. And in that willingness, a protective warmth may begin to rise.

That quiet warmth is the first movement of the Most Holy, the beginning of an inner avalanche that can grow into public Decency.

Peace, unity, and public responsibility do not arrive all at once. They begin with individuals willing to start something that grows.

MADA is built upon principles such as Spiritual Personality, spiritual identity, the birth of the soul, equality, and the inherent worth of every human being. These concepts are deep enough to stand against destructive ideas of racial, ethnic, and social superiority or inferiority, ideas that have fueled fear, division, and hatred throughout history.

An avalanche of Decency begins with one open heart.

And in our civic life, it may begin the same way:

With small, steady actions.

With each post as a snowball.

You can help build momentum by reposting a MADA message every few days.

The MADA website, mada-series.org, serves as a library of MADA posts and reflections.

When you share a post, include mada-series.org and Bobby Sawick on Facebook so others may find the movement and explore its ideas.

And when you post, you do not need to explain, apologize for, or justify Decency.

Over time, the snowballs gather weight.

Over time, momentum grows.

Over time, the movement may become strong enough to reach the American public and awaken the Decency that already lives within them.

Over the last six months, I have posted what MADA does, what MADA may do for you, what MADA stands for, and 22 reasons why MADA may be important to you.

All that is needed now is consistent reposting.

So begin by hitting the Share button on this post.

And when someone asks,

“What have you been doing lately?”

You may simply answer:

“Throwing snowballs.”

May the Most Holy bless you.

Thank you,

Bobby Sawick
