Why Dignity Strengthens Democracy
Thought:
Democracy depends on dignity, because people show up when they feel respected — and disappear when they don’t.
Reflection:
Dignity is not symbolic; it is structural. A nation is stronger when its people feel seen, valued, and respected. When people believe their voice matters, they show up. When they feel dismissed, they withdraw — and withdrawal is where democratic decay begins.
